旅歐青年鋼琴家曹揚, 1989年出生於台灣台北，5歲開始接觸鋼琴，2008年獲全國學生音樂比賽鋼琴獨奏高中B組特優第二名，2012年以優異的成績畢業於臺北市立教育大學音樂系，主修鋼琴，曾師事張恒愷老師、王穎教授、歐玲如教授。
2014年獲獎學金赴英國皇家伯明罕音樂院攻讀鋼琴演奏碩士，並以”最高榮譽” (Distinction)之殊榮畢業。旅歐期間師事Julian Jacobson以及David Quigley，並曾接受許多鋼琴家之指導：莊雅斐、嚴俊傑、安寧、胡瀞云、David Fung、William Heiles、Vitali Berzon、Evelyn Chen、Daniel Pollack、Colin Stone、Ian Jones、Jakob Fichert、Yejin Gel、Mikhail Kazakevich、Psacal Nemirovski、Peter Donohoe、Müza Rubackyte、Robert Levin、Tamás Vásáry等著名鋼琴家。 於歐洲就讀期間積極參與各項校內外演出活動及比賽，包含室內樂、重奏、獨奏會伴奏，曾入圍Beryl Chempin貝多芬獎，Ambache Women Composer Prize以及伯明罕音樂學院鋼琴大賽之決賽。於2017年獲選為新北市「樂壇新星」以及2018 「巴赫新聲」，並於新北市藝文中心演藝廳以及台北巴赫廳舉行個人獨奏會。 結束英國的學業後，獲全額獎學金取得匈牙利李斯特音樂學院演奏文憑，師事名鋼琴家Balazs Szokolay以及László Borbély。返台後，除了活躍於國內外的演出，也經常應邀舉辦鋼琴講座、專題演講、並擔任重要音樂比賽之評審委員。 |

Taiwanese pianist Yang Tsao began his piano studies at the age of five and has won numerous competitions, including the First Prize of Yamaha International Piano Competition, in Taipei, Taiwan; the First Prize of Taipei Piano Competition, in Taipei, Taiwan; and he was the finalist of Ambache Women Composer Prize and Berly Chempin Beethoven Prize in Birmingham Conservatoire. Yang Tsao has been selected as a ‘2017 Young Music Star of New Taipei City’ in Taiwan and also selected as a “2018 Music Star” of Yin Qi Foundation in Taiwan.
As a soloist, Yang has performed throughout Asia, Europe, and the United Kingdom and continues to hold recitals around the world. He has also regularly participated at master classes given by pianists such as Dr. Daniel Pollack, Evelyn Chen, Vitali Berzon, Professor William Heiles, An Ning, David Fung, Ya-Fei Chuang, Ching-Yun Hu, Colin Stone, Ian Jones, Jakob Fichert and Yejin Gel, Mikhail Kazakevich, Pascal Nemirovski, Peter Donohoe, Müza Rubackyte, Robert Levin and Tamás Vásáry. Yang gave his first public performance at the age of six. In 2008, he made his mind to apply the music college in Taiwan, and he got the fourth prize among all applicants. He studied with Prof. Lin-Ju Ou in Taipei Municipal University of Education (renamed to University of Taipei in 2013). Yang continued his studies at the Birmingham Conservatoire in the United Kingdom with scholarship pursuing master degree in piano performance and studied with professor David Quigley and professor Julian Jacobson, graduating with Distinction. As a result of winning the Joseph Weingarten Scholarship, Yang continues his studies at the Franz Liszt Academy, Budapest, with Balázs Szokolay and László Borbély in September, 2016. |
